Soyo DYLM019A VT19n79 19" LCD monitor dead

I seem to have the same problem. I saw Q503 on the bottom had a hole blown out, so I can't see the markings on it. When I apply power, I get 12v on both sides of F500 but no voltage on Q500. (larger transistor between main chip & coil. There is a glue or something between Q500 and the coil as well. If you need component ID's most of mine seem clear. ronkloiber@yahoo.ca

Is very hard to find these parts for servicing. The only option will be to DIY, by replacing some of the capacitors that become defective. Try to trace where the 12 volts are coming from and replace the capacitors or the 12 volts regulator if you find one in the circuitry.
Good Luck.

I have a soyo dylm2284. On power up it displays screen but quickly turns itself off untill I power back up....Any suggestions to fix. It is out of warrenty

It may have backlight power supply problem or inverter circuits problems.
Check for caps with domed tops first.

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/

One way to find out if it is the power supply or not is to use light bulb as a load, load it up to the current rating of the power supply to see if it will maintain the output voltage as indicated on the power supply.
I could not find the spec of this regulated switching power supply so I do not know the exact rating of this power supply.
Post more info about the power supply will help.

I would not be surprised if it does have bad caps in the power supply section.

If it uses AC adapter, then check the DC voltage at the DC plug to see if you get any voltage, if it use Direct power cord then it may have blown fuse inside the monitor, then you will need to open up the monitor.

My Soyo 19" widescreen monitor suddenly went all white. Powering off for a few hours does not help, it only glows white. Any suggestions?

It glows white because the LCD controller (part of the LCD panel) is not getting the 5vdc from the logic board or the LCD controller board has blown fuse due to short circuits, see what LCD controller looks like here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LCD%20panel/
First thing to look for is to see if the ribbon cables on both ends are in place and have clean contacts.
