Re: Copier will not work correctly
Try cleaning the scanner glass(both the scan bed as well as the scanner glass on the Automatic document feeder)..then clean the copper contacts on the cartridges......if it still does not work then You can try a reset on the printer using the # and the number 6,holding them down while plugging in the power cord at the back of the printer.it should work......

Does this happen when using the document feeder? If so place the original document on the big glass a make a copy did the lines go away if so when you are using the document feeder you are not using the big glass but the small slit glass check if it is clean. If the line are also on copy when using the big glass you have a problem with your drum, cleaning blade, corona, or fuser unit (hot Part). Have atech check it out, Does it print OK?
Have seen this problem before and if i remember correctly it is down to the fuser running at the wrong temperature. To prove this , make a copy. try and judge when the paper has left the drum but before it reaches the fuser. Open the side cover and very carefully remove the paper. look at the image. if it is clearer then it is the fuser. If it is still fuzzy then the problem lays in the development area.
Copying and printing are two different functions. Your machine will process copies because the work is all done AT the copier. In order to print the PC and the copier need to be able to communicate properly.
Make sure that the printer drivers for your machine are set up properly on your PC and the two systems are communicating correctly.
restart the copier while holding down the "0" and "5" keys. you will now be in service mode. enter "5" and press "start" key a number should show up in the display. this is the exposure value - how dark or light the copies will be. 5 is the automatic exposure setting. around 128 is the normal value. the larger this value the lighter the copies are - the smaller the value the darker the copies.
Enter a new number (exposure value) and press the "interupt" key to save the value. Restart the copier and check what the copies look like. Keep adjusting until it looks good/better.
try makling a copy from the glass if that is good then your problem lies with your net work try reboothing the colorpass, also have someone else print if you still have blank prints your color pass hard drive needs to be detach blow out then reattach
