I have installed the bluetooth driver in IBM T43 Laptop. The device manager is listing the bluetooth and says device is working properly. But when I try to configure the bluetooth, it says no bluetooth device is connected. Connect it and make sure it is turned on..

In the device manager check if the bluetooth device is installed. If it is not installed, download the driver from support.dell.com and install it.If the device is listed under device manager and has an error on it, uninstall and reinstall. If the bluetooth device is not found under device manager, in the bios, enable bluetooth, save the changes in the bios.
It is very likely that the Dell operator was right and the bluetooth option is not installed on your system. You will have to buy a USB bluetooth dongle or adapter. click on control panel click on bluetooth devices if its there, is there anything listed as available? also in control panel click on system > device manager and see if any bluetooth devices are listed there. If not you don't have the option built in to your laptop
please describe which os ur using and bluetooth chip is detected in device manager if yes then go to support.dell.com enter your service tag no and download latest driver of bluetooth if bluetooth is not detected in device manager then press F2 at statup logo of dell and in hardware list u see one option bluetooth installed.
have you installed all the device driver for the hardware of the notebook? if not run all the device software including the driver for the wireless adapter, it will not appear if it is not windows compliant you have to provide the drivers
This sounds like it is exactly what I scratched my head about when I first inhereted my T43 at work. If it is, you are going to laugh at how simple it issue is. IBM in their great wisdom made a custom control for the wireless network antenna and bluetooth antenna. Try:
Hit Fn+F5. This will bring up a window where you can control turning on/off each antenna. When you turn on the bluetooth, the symbol in the system tray should turn to blue and white and the little green bluetooth light just below the screen should come on. I hope this helps.
