Question about Casio Exilim EX-S600 Digital Camera
My camera does turn on but the screen is black, it wont take pics, i can see pics taken before, but screen dosent see current items, camera does take a pic but its a black screen it dosent see anything Thanks
With the power off, hold the camera in your palm and smack the front of the camera on your leg or arm. You might have to smack it a few time to get it to work. It has to do with the camera CDD lense (shuttle) being stuck. By smacking it around, it will free up the lense. Being extra gentle with it though. It worked for me. Hope this help.

Another thing you can try if in case the warranty is out for the camera is just to open it. and open the lens assembly, you should see the shutter stuck in the middle and just use a needle to slide it up and down and re assemble it back.
Hope this helps Dis assemble at your own risk,.

Screen us black suggested back light failure but then you said you can see previously taken images ,so it does not seem to be that I must be a system board failure or connector problem Check a Casio web site tech support be fore doing anything else- but it looks like a repair shop job unless you are up to dismantling the case to see if it is indeed a connector issue -it may nor be and you will be in for a new camera he, Casio Tech help first then
