If you do find schematic it will not give you what you want, it will show the board and its terminals not the boards components.

Colors out of alignment; curved lines

Marilee, you will need to check on the service manual schematic of what types of voltages you have on the IC's now. Most of the time, there are whats called pico fuses that blow out when the convergence IC's blow out. They are located on the G board, and are yellow in color. They look like small resistors. Check them for continuity after you replace the IC's. By the way, did you use good replacement IC's for the convergence? There are all sorts of aftermarket types and factory rejects being sold out there via the web or from local electronic parts distributors. Make sure they are the original types. If you know how to read a schematic diagram, but do not have the service manual, let me know, leave an e-mail address, and I will be happy to send you some info on the replacement of the ICs as well as the factory service manual. Good Luck!

According to you your machine's resistor burnt out. This resistor is located above the 240 volt capacitor which white base. change the resistor soon. For color code of the resistor you can follow the manual. You can visit also the product website for tech assistance.

Gets warm, loud pop and then no sound

Hi,

You're ouput IC was blown, this is caused by an overload. Continuous running the unit in high volume produced more heat to the output IC and when exceed the peak temperature allowed it will blew. This IC is heat-sinked in the board. Also check its resistor in line with the power supply for open.

Hope it may help you.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for using Fixya.

I replaced my convergence chips and I still have a convergence problem. Its not as bad but I still cant line up the blue convergence cross exactly

Sounds like your over half way there lol..
You now need to check the resistors positioned near the convergence ic's. They are your likely problem and go bad often when the ic's fail.

They are normally about 2watt and the values will vary but normally are like .10 ohms to 1 ohm.
I cant find a schematic to give you the exact values and locations but if these resistors measure off value at all you need to replace them with the exact value of the originals.

Heres a link to resistor color code guides just in case the value numbers are not printed on the resistors

I have a 1998 Toshiba TP43H95 I want to fix myself

If it shuts off and then the power light starts blinking red that is usually indicative of the convergence ICs that you are refering to (STK 392-110). You never want to replace the ICs without also replacing the resistors that are associated with them. There are usually 6 resistors, one for each of the colors and there corresponding direction, IE Red horizontal, red vertical, blue horizontal, ect. In the case of this model tv all of the resistors are 2.2 Ohm and 2watts. You will find them right where the STK 392-110 ICs are. Right in front of them. They are blue and have this color code on them. Red, red, gold, gold. These are represented by stripes on the resistors. You can get the parts from www.bdent.com They carry the ICs and the resistors. If you do not feel comfortable completing this repair I could do it for you if you send me the board. My email address is: missionelectronics@sbcglobal.net
Good Luck.

The resistor you see is a 2.2 ohm 2 watt resistor and is part of the convergence circuitry. I would replace R7011. 7012, 7013, 7014, 7015 & 7016 (all the same value) and the 2 STK392-110 Convergence ICs. This should fix your problem. You can find kits on-line for around $45 with the IC's and resistors together.

Exploded 5 resistors need a schematic

I don't have the schematic but if you can send me a photo of the inside of the amp, I may be able to tell you the values of the resistors. Many of the class D amps are clones.

My kenwood a97 hi fi amp has gone into protect mode a resistor is broken how do i get a diagram to identify the type i need

in my a-97 amplifier was the chip stk350-030 broken. I replaced it and it works again. The stk350-030 you'll find in the middle. Open the hood and cut the bottom (sound weird but its true)
