Error message trying to transfer songs from pc

I have an 8 gb micro sd card installed. it's been working fine, but all of a sudden tonight I was transferring some songs and I am getting an error message on the device. It then restarts the device. I've rebooted my pc and the device and the same message continues to appear. When I've tried to load an update it says it can't install it. Help!

After i insert my 1 gb sandisk micro sd card into my blackberry 8530, an error message comes up: "cannot access media card due to fatal errors" i have tried to install, repair, and format it...

It sounds like in your situation that you may have a bad card. If you cannot get your card to mount to your phone for storage, I would try to find access to a pc that has an SD card slot that you can try to format it that way. If the card still wont format, your looking at a defective card and will need to purchase a new one.

You can find Micro SD cards here for purchase.

My Pavillion dv 1000 wont read a micro SD card (in adapter) My camera recognizes and uses the card fine (with adaptor). My laptop recognizes standard sized SD cards fine also. It is not a HC micro SD. ...

If its above 2 gb most older laptops won't because the card is in FAT and not FAT 32. cards 4 gb and over are written differently you can hook your camera up to your computer and transfer then that way or purchase a HCSD card reader for higher capacity cards.

I have free space that i can't use on my SanDisk micro SD card.

Make sure its formated FAT 32 or above such as NTFS this will shore up this memory issue problem with your memory stick.

Good luck and God bless

Transferring songs onto new CF card

You'll have to create backups of your songs and transfer those backups using USB to your PC. Then with the 8 GB card inserted you can reimport them to the Tascam (USB) and restore them to the current working song which will then get saved on your 8 GB card. Do this for each song and then you can discard (delete) those backed up song files while connected to the PC.

Hope this helps.

Problems with formating samsung e250 micro sd card

I had the same problem and I tried everything. I couldn't think of anything else to do so I just turned my phone off and back on again. When I went back to the memory card menu on my phone all the folders that I lost re-appeared. I don't know if it would work on other phones but it's worth a try!

Transferring MP3 files from PC "C" drive "My Music" folder to SD card

you may want to try downloading only those that didn't download the first time. Sometimes when you try to download a large file (all the songs) it causes the "error message" you talk about. You may want to delete files already downloaded, or save the files downloaded to a different file folder, and try the download again.
