Question about Sears Craftsman LiftMaster Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Wireless Keypad Model 976LM Security+

1 Answer

I have a craftsman 1/2 hp garage door opener. The garage will only close from the inside button. I have to hold it down until the door closes completely otherwise the lights flash and the door automatically goes up. One of the sensors for the garage is amber and the other is green. What can be wrong?

When you say sensors, do you mean the ones that sit near the floor on either side of the openning for the garage?

Check your door sensors. Make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering ever so slightly. Tweak them a little. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have bad sensors.

Garage door only closes halfway

If the main light is flashing 10 times when the door reverses when closing it is a door sensor problem. You can override this with the door control but not with a remote. Make sure the door sensors are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is on and not flickering.

Make sure the brackets for the sensors are tight and the small light on the sensors is not blinking ever so slightly. You also might try shading the sensor so that the sun is not shining directly into the lens.

I have no idea what a 132C2105-3B is but try this. Hold the button down on the remote and then press and immediately release the smart/learn button. If the remote is the correct one for your opener it should work.

I have a craftsman garage door opener (1/2 hp) won't close proper

Check your door sensors. They have probably been bumped. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not blinking.

Sears craftsman garage door opener

HOLDING DOWN THE WALL BUTTON OVERRIDES THE SAFETY EYES.
WHEN HOLDING IT DOWN MAKES THE DOOR CLOSE PROPERLY THE PROBLEM IS IN THE SAFETY EYES.

ARE BOTH LEDS ON? - CHECK FOR A LOOSE OR BROKEN WIRE.
ARE THE EYES WIRED CORRECTLY?
ARE THEY AIMED AT EACH OTHER?
