Keeps beeping at boot

beeping in some computer is a factory installed indicator for a malfunctioning part on your computer. One possible issue on your laptop is a stuck key on one of your keyboard keys. Have your keyboard keys checked. If the issue is in relation with the universal charger, the laptop may not be recognizing it at first boot due to incompatibility with your laptop or the charger itself is damaged. Have them checked by a local technician to avoid further damage.

How do I turn off the vertical scrll on my laptop

one of your mouse buttons or keyboard keys might be stuck. Try the keyboard first then check the mouse. unless you use the track pad. There's a program that does that. I can't remember what it is off the top of my head. It should be accessible via the keyboard strokes of ctrl+I at the same time. From there you'll need to navigate using the keyboard.

Curser problems

I would try scanning your computer for viruses, adware etc which might be using up memory. Or, not to scare you, there could be tracking software or key stroke loggers. Try scanning with Advanced System Care, a free program on C-Net.

Keyboard letters are numbers and numbers are letters

Examine your keyboard to ensure your "Number Lock" key is not activated.

This activation is indicated by the key being lit up.

If the key is activated, press it to deactivate the lock.

The number lock key will deactivate an entire segment of your keyboard

Start, click Run, and type regedit to open the Windows registry editor.

In the registry, open the below folders.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Control Panel\
Keyboard\

Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.

0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.
1 = Disable Num Lock.
2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.

Hello. some keys like "6,y.u.w

if it is a laptop keyboard that is not working but you want to use an external keyboard just buy a usb one. Typically if you are running an windows xp or newer, it will just recognized the keyboard and you will be fine.
PS2 is that round plug with 6 pins you would find on older computers.

If you did not want to use an external keyboard and want to try to fix the the internal laptop's keyboard, there are a few things you could try:
1'st, shoot the keys with air duster to see if you can dislodge anything stuck under them.
2'nd, you can pop off the keys and press directly on the contact to see if the button works.
3'd, if that doesn't work you can take off the keyboard and ther will be a part number on the bottom of it. type that into google and you can find a place that sells replacement keyboards.
I did this on a Toshiba satellite and it worked fine, just be sure not to break the keyboard ribbon connector on the motherboard when you remove it.
