Right click on your task bar and go to PROPERTIES and then go to TOOLBARS. Unclick everything but quick launch and that should correct your problem.

Good luck!

E machines T3104 front panel wiring diagram

The eMachines T3104 desktop computer uses an FIC K8M-800M motherboard.
FIC is First International Computers (Inc.)

http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socket754/fick8m800m.shtml

A Socket 754 motherboard for AMD processors.

This is the download page for a free motherboard manual,

http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/OEM/eMachines/manuals/index.html

Go to the column in the middle, 8th file down.
Click on K8M-800M

A small window will come up on the right -
Opening K8M-800M_manual.zip

If the circle to the left of - Save File - does not have a green dot in it, click on the circle.
Now go below, and click on OK.

A small window will come up on the left. In the top of the window, tells you where the file will download to in your computer.
It may have Desktop, or My Documents, or Downloads, in the wording.
(Vista and Win7 is Desktop, Documents, Downloads)

Desktop: The file will be on your desktop screen.

My Documents:
Click on Start, then on My Documents.

Downloads:
Click on Start, then on My Documents. DOUBLE-click on Downloads.

When you see the file name, DOUBLE-click on it.

Disregard the following if you are aware;
This is a Zip file. A Zip file is used to send a large amount of information.
It is condensed.
The zip file needs to be unzipped. ('Un-condensed')

Go to the far left side, and click on Extract all files.
Follow the easy instructions.
(Essentially just click on Next, Next, and Finish. Do NOT change any settings )

In the last window you will see K8M-800M_manual to the right of the Adobe PDF icon.
Double-click on it.

If the view is too large reduce it with the Zoom Out icon. This is the Minus symbol ( - ) at the top.
(Zoom In is the + symbol )

At the top of the PDF file is the page number box. It is only related to the PDF file itself, and not to the actual page number of the manual. It is to the right of the Down Arrow.

Go to Page 20 in the PDF file.
(You can use the Down Arrow to arrive at page 20, or;
Put your mouse cursor in the PDF page number box.
Left-click once
Type 20
Press the Enter key )

Barring that you cannot download, or open the motherboard manual;
Looking at the motherboard in the same direction, motherboard installed in case.
Processor to the Top, Ram memory slots to the right, white PCI slots at the bottom.

The Front Panel header on the motherboard is at the bottom right.
Rectangular connector with two rows of pins.

Pins across the Top are numbered ODD.
Pins across the Bottom are numbered EVEN.

Starting at the Right side going towards the Left, on the Top row;
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Starting at the Right side going towards the Left, on the Bottom row;
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8.
There is No Pin 10.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light.
If the LED light is dim when operating switch the wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used.

C) Pin 9 is not used. N/C. (Not Connected)

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light
If the LED light is dim when on, switch the wires around.

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

On this page I advise clicking on the + sign to the left of -

Now scroll down, and click on,

Fall 2004 Original Network Adapter Driver Collection

On this page go down to the sub-heading - Details and specifications, and click on -

When the small window comes up, click on Save File.

Another small window will come up. DO NOT close the window yet.
Look in the heading at the top of the small window.
This tells you where the file will go.
Write it down.

The heading may have Desktop, or My Documents, or Downloads IN the heading.

If it states Desktop the file will go to your desktop screen.
(sp26363.exe)
Close all windows, go back to your desktop screen.

If it states My Documents click on Start, then My Documents.

If it states Downloads, click on Start, My Documents, and Double-click on Downloads.

When you see the file name double-click on it.
Follow the Installation Wizard instructions.

After the file has installed shut your computer down normally.

eMachines T3302 desktop computer?

According to my information it uses an FIC K8M-800M motherboard.
(First International Computer, Inc.)

(Looking in-between the brown AGP expansion slot, and the first white PCI slot, you should see K8M-800)

http://www.fic.com.tw/product/motherboard/AMD/ficimages/k8m-800m.jpg

IF, my information is correct about the motherboard used, I would like you to download the Motherboard Manual for it.

(I haven't worked on one of these puppies in my shop yet, so I don't know if the eMachines T3302 uses an FIC K8M-800M mobo. MOtherBOard)

http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/OEM/eMachines/manuals/index.html

Under the Filename heading in the Middle, scroll down, and Left-click on - FIC K8M-800M

This is a Zip file. (Compressed file for easier transfer)

Watch the download progress bar, and let the file download all the way. ( 1 minute, 45 seconds for me)

Where the file will go;

Windows XP:
It will go to your My Documents folder (Start > My Documents), or to a subfolder in My Documents. Downloads.
Or it may go directly to your desktop screen.

(Yellow folder icon, with a zipper in the middle. K8M-800_manual
underneath)

When you see the file, Double-click on it.
Go up to the left side of the screen.
Left click on - Extract All Files

Left-click on Next, and Finish.

In the small window left-click on the PDF icon with K8M-800_manual.

Barring you cannot download, or open this Zip file.

Orient the motherboard in your view, so we are both looking at it the same way.

Processor to the top.
Ram Memory slots to the right.

Bottom right corner has the CMOS battery, and the Front Panel header is to the left of the battery.
Under the Front Panel header it has F-PNL

Your pinout of the Front Panel header is upside down.

There are 5 pins across the top.
There are 4 pins across the bottom.

The Top pins are numbered Odd.
The Bottom pins are numbered Evenly.

The numbering starts from the Right side of the motherboard, (CMOS Battery side), going towards the Left.

Top row, going from Right to Left,
1, 3, 5, 7, and 9

Bottom row, going from Right to Left,
2, 4, 6, and 8. (There is No pin 10)

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HDD LED. (Harddrive activity light)

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch.

C) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On light. (Indicates power is on)

D) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch. (Turns the computer on)

Schematics for motherboards can be different but most have a series of pins that those plugs are plugged into. Here is a link that will guide you through the process. The pins are labeled POWER/LED/SPEAKER if you look closely. Hope this helps.

I HAVE A WINDOW XP HOME EDITION AND WHEN I START MY COMPUTER THE ONLY THING THAT COMES UP IS THE BACKGROUND. THERE ARE NO ICONS OR A BAR AT BOTTOM OF SCREEN.

the icons and the bar(task bar) at the bottom of the screen are enabled by the explorer.exe file

it starts automatically but in your case it is not starting

to start it when your computer starts and comes at the desktop, press alt+ctrl+delete button at the same time to bring up the task manager

when you do this a task manager shows up in a window

in task manager window click on file, it will be located on the top left portion on task manager

now click on "new task(run)"

this opens another window, in that window type
"explorer"
without the quotes "" and press enter
this will bring you icons and task bar at the bottom of the screen
