Dealership has to replace key for newer vechicles from 1994 up to 2012 .all vechicle ignition keys has a transponder consist of a resonator and ic circuit which includes a processor and non volatile memory embedded into the key or remote transmitter.the ignition key is read through ignition switch to the immobilizer and ECM.THE IGNITION KEY IS PROGRAMMED. back in the 50s 60s 70s 80s and early 90s hardware store could make new cars keys but now car keys has program chips has to replaced at dealership.

P0700 DODGE - Transaxle Control System Malfunction

P0700 DODGE Description
The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.
CLEAR THE CODES AND SEE IF IT RESETS. MOST LIKELY NOT A PROBLEM
