Over the warmer months dust accumulates in the safety pilot making it think their is less oxy in the air. So it shuts down. Blow it out and retry.

Thank you Dan for helping, I did clean the the safety pilot out with a can of air, but the heater still goes out, so I disconnected the line for the safety pilot and sprade air through the pipe. Now my pilot light seams to not being as high like it use to
What i do is flush the whole thing with rust buster:http://appliancejunk.blogspot.com/search...

SOURCE: Mr Heater MH75KT - won't start with diesel
If the MH75KT is the correct model, then it is a Kerosene only heater. Fuels, like oil and diesel all have different ignition points.

replace the therocouple. next year do not turn the pilot off

It sounds like the gas valve is dropping out. Make sure the system is venting the exhaust(no restrictions). Then make sure all your wiring connections in the unit are tight. In a millivolt system if all wiring connections aren't tight and clean your circuit will drop in millivolts and the gas valve will drop out. The gas valve requires a certain millivolt to stay open. I hope I was of some assistance!! Good luck!!

Hi Teresa,
The problem is with the pilot flame and the way that it hits the thermocouple....the flame needs to contact the thermocouple all the time or it cools off and goes out. The heat from the main flame will keep it on when on high fire, but when turned sown the pilot does not keep it hot enough and often will "pull" the pilot flame away from the thermocouple and cause it to go out.
I have had to bend the pilot assemblies and/or the hood or cover over the pilot flame to make it stay on...
This takes time and experimentation and often the installer just does not want to do that because they are contracted by the job and fiddling around costs them money...but it IS their responsibility to make sure the equipment works properly and safely before they leave...
Don't be afraid to raise a ruckus to get your heater working properly...
