The hour glass on my MP3 GC-920/940 by Element will not come off the screen. I've charged it and still nothing. My daughter got 2 days of play for Christmas. What a piece of ****. Does anyone have the soln. to this problem. First impressions always a lasting impression. They won't get anymore of my money.

After hours of messing with the dumb thing. the mini disc kept jumping around in my cd rom so placed a very small piece of tape on it (highly not recomended) to help hold it in place while the cd rom read the disk. then i copied the disk into a file and clicked on the install app mp3 player utilities 4.18 and it began to install. then after looking it over. i shut down my computer. while it was shut down i plugged in the mp3 player and started up my computer. after i ;ogged on, windows asked if i wanted to search and install the driver i clicked install. when it couldn't find the driver in updates it asked if i had a diskor do i want to browse my computer. i clicked on browse searched for the mp3 player utilities 4.18 highlted it and clicked ok and it began to install and stopped half way through. and said there was an error and a part was missing. although i noticed a new drive with an asian name and there it was. i right clicked then clicked properties and gave it a new name. it worked! what a stupid process. i don't know for sure but i think it would work with any older version of windows just not vista.

go into settings and then go into music go into repeat and hit all ite probably set to play intro switch it to play all or repeat all and it should work

The GC940 DOES play videos. I have successfully converted movies to AMV format and played them, Sometimes the sound will however be a bit low.

Use this program. Make sure you have the updated codecs on your computer, and convert AVI files to AMV, then move them to anywhere on your player. I use a movie folder, and rename them to the movie I want. A full 1.5 hour movie will take about 200-300 mb of space.
Please keep in mind that the movie does have to have an AMV extension, not MP4 or MPEG.

i was listen 2 my mp3 player an shut it off 4 about an hour and thasn i tryed 2 trun it on and now it wont go any further than the hour glass screen.. i already tryed letin go completly dead than chargeing it and still nothing...if any 1 has anything on this plz let us no...
I have the exact same problem too. Nothing but the hourglass. I've searched the internet for weeks, but can't find anything.
