Question about HP Pavilion 2500 Notebook
My brother passed away and have his laptop, can't get pass the logon screen that request the password. Does anyone out there know the code for Windows Vista Home Premium Edition? how can i unlock a hp pavilion dv2500 i don't remember what my password is please help.
You can start it in safe mode pressing the F8 key...it change between brands but must out there use f8... when you start in "safe mode" in the log in screen you will find your user name and the administrator one...normally the administrator don't have password, so you can log into it and there you have the permission to delete other users passwords...
If you don't found that option, there is an other option but you need to download it and burn it in a cd... Is called ERD Commander here is the link for it: http://rapidshare.com/files/113560492/ERD.Commander.2008.CrOwN.rar... the password for decompress it is:( munda ) when you have burned it, insert it in you cd drive> go to your computer bios>select boot priority>change it for boot from cd first...once you have done that press f10 and select the option yes to save your settings and restart your pc....then your computer will start with a wizard looking like windows xp...complete all the things that it request...when finally boots up>go to start menua and select system tools>locksmith and delete all the passwords that you want...that's it! restart without the cd in the drive and log in! "Hope it works for you"
