Question about Philips 60P8342 60" Rear Projection Television
Power supply wont come up, so it chips. the fuses are super hard to check on this one, but you can pull the cable that goes to convergence sometimes and it will come up with a bowed picture. its the 3rd ribbon cable going from the defleciton board (lots of high power parts) to the signal board (lots of daughter boards, small parts) there are 3 cables hooking the two together, pull the one furthest from the back and try to power on. be ready to pull the plug but it will come up and run with a bowed pict if the ICs are bad. if so, see this link for tips
