Question about Dayton E50 Heater
I have 1989 100,000 btu space heater, worked fine, then started turn on for just a few minunites we cut the filter then worked fine again, now it won't fire blowes out mistifide kerosene.
It may be the spark plug (or the ignition module). On my Reddy Heater 50K BTU, there are six metal screws that join the top of torpedo tube to the bottom. Remove these, and the top of the tube casing. The spark plug should be in plain sight.
Turn the unit on and look for spark. If it's not firing, replace the plug. If it still doesn't fire, you may need to replace the ignition module (it's what is "connected to the spark plug via the fat ignition wire.")
Hope this helps,
