When I fax the recieptent is getting 2 big black lines..........ive tried cleaniung it but not sure if im cleaning the corredt parts..........there a little glass part that looks like there may be ink

Open the auto sheet feeder (where you place your originals), look underneath and you will see a narrow "scanner" glass that the originals are scanned across. Clean this thoroughly with glass cleaner (or water) - there is probably correction fluid or some other foreign dirt on it. If you make a copy for yourself (before and after) it gives a good indication of the quality you are sending to fax recipients.

good luck, and please rate solution

Im getting the same problem.. When I send fax it comes out black

The optics probably need cleaning. Unless you know something about them, I would take it to somebody who does for cleaning.

Black vertical streaks on faxes & copies

On top of the toner/drum cartridge there should be a blue slider, move back and forth 10 times.

If no fix, you need a new toner cartridge.

Black lines on incoming faxes

Pull out the drum cartridge. There should not be any toner on it.
(it could be defective [drum cleaning blade] especcially if it's a refilled unit.

There might be a small blue tab on top of the unit that you can slide back and forth to clean the charge wire.

But then again, if you just changed the drum, it sounds like it's defective.

Received fax's are not printing. Unit prints confermations and is working as a printer but recieved fax's just park in memory and will not print.

TYPICALLY A FAX MACHINE WILL RECEIVE MESSAGE IN MEMORY WHEN NO PAPER OR TONER/INK FINISHED INDICATION IS THERE, REPLENISH THESE SUPPLIES WITH GENUINE ONES AND FAX WILL START PRINTING. IF PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED , PLEASE TRY TO CLEAR THE SETTING FOR MEMORY RECEIVING, IF STILL NOT SOLVED TRY BRINGING THE MACHINBE TO FACTROY SET SETTING BY CLEARING THE MEMORY. HAPPY FAXING OMNIPRESENT
