Belt in dishwasher answer

First thanks for the answer. But it seems like it must have come from the dishwasher - maybe its a seal or something? The reason I'm saying this iis that its the exact shade of blue of other rubber parts within he dishwasher. Its about 12 inched long if it was cut and extended.

If the dishwasher has been setting for a long time the seals in the pump could of dryed out. Go ahead and run the dishwasher again and it could seal itself back up if not..... you will need to call a repairman to replace the seals. Or buy a new dishwasher if the unit has some age on it. You will get a new warranty..... I would also tell your realitor about it and maybe she could help you. The appliance may have a 30 warranty with the purchase of the house.......Hope this helps...

I would check the rubber seal around the base of the unit on the door.
Make sure its clean as dirt in it can cause a bad seal.

Also check when you open the door to see if water drips out.

My GE dishwasher is leaking out the bottom of the front door. Everything seems to be sealed properly. I took the inside of the door off and couldn't find anything obvious. Is it possible to be overflowing...

You most likly need a new bottom door seal. Usually 3 screws down each side of the door and then two screws hold the bottom door seal in place. The bottm door seal can look fine but if its leaking out the bottom front this is the problem 99 % of the time, Unless someone is using dish soap to preclean the dishes or using regular in the dishwasher.

You have a bad water valve. When the unit is off, the valve should seal and the water should not flow. Something has gotten in the valve and is keeping the needle up or the diaphram in the valve has deteriorated. replace the water valve and you will be fine part#425458 @ $16.00

Simpson Silencio 850 leaks - the water doesn't seem to stop filling. Replaced all seals, but it keeps filling until it leaks and we have to stop it manually.

Hi, I've just purchased a 2nd hand model of your dishwasher. mine actually leaks from the black lining underneath. I've just patched it with some Sellys bathroom sealant. I don't know more about your problem but sounds like it could be something not timing out to stop the water, maybe buy a new 1 :P
