Question about LG TROMM WM2688H 4.0 cu.ft. Front Loading SteamWasher
I have gone through the recommended steps: No blocks/kinks in drain hose. No debris in impellar. Impellar not loose. Connectors connected. How do I know if it is the drain pump? If it is drain pump how do I replace it/remove old? HELP I'M DROWNING IN DIRTY CLOTHES! Happy New Year 2009 - hope it gets better!
I have seen these drain pumps fail before, sand builds up behind drain pump impeller and prevents the impeller from spinning fast enough to drain machine. you will need to replace this pump but it is not easy tadk, I recommend you call for service to authorized LG servicer that is factory trained. These machines are delicate and need professional service, call Geek Squad they will service it (yes they service appliances). Since Best Buy sells so many LG machines, they have great experience with this. Try calling Sears as well, they have training on same product.
