I have seen these drain pumps fail before, sand builds up behind drain pump impeller and prevents the impeller from spinning fast enough to drain machine. you will need to replace this pump but it is not easy tadk, I recommend you call for service to authorized LG servicer that is factory trained. These machines are delicate and need professional service, call Geek Squad they will service it (yes they service appliances). Since Best Buy sells so many LG machines, they have great experience with this. Try calling Sears as well, they have training on same product.

Lg wm2455h is not draining: i have taken out and cleaned pump filter and that did not correct the problem. I place the machine on the drain and spin cycle and i can hear the pump hum, but doesnt drain. ...

most likely you have a bad pump and it needs to be changed out or something is still stuck in the impellar, stick your finger into the pump and feel around the impellar,i've found under bra metal pieces stuck in there, elastics and string rapped around it and coins lodged in between the impellar and wall of the pump,if the pump is bad or something is stopping the impellar from spinning it will hum, power is going to the pump but the motor isn't spinning.

Hello all I have been getting the F21 error code (seems to be a popular error) I cleand the drain on the pump as I was cleaning debris out i noticed the motor impellar was cracked so I replaced it. ...

My WAG would be yes, something is still in the drain line. Especially since enough debris has been through it to crack your impellar.

Have you tried running a guitar string up to see if you can dislodge any blocks.

Error code F 35

F35 is a slow drain error check for kinks or cloggs in the drain line. Also check that the pump is not clogged and while checking the pump check the impellar on the pump that no impellar blades are missing as well. broken fins on the impellar or if the impellar is not spining would give you the same fault pump error if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations in the future Thanks Rick

When washing towels the washer doesn't drain all the water out causing the washer to jump around.

i would check the drain pump assembly and the hoses attached just to make sure that there is no debri that could be obstructing the drain... also make sure the impellar in the pump is free spinning and not hanging up... good luck to you .

I have a lg washer that sometimes it drains and other times it doesn't. the filter is clean and when it doesn't drain it makes no noise like it is tied up. it just sits silent. it fails to pump at...

Have you removed the hoses to the drain pump and looked for any kind of obstructions. You will need to make sure there is nothing blocking or slowing the impellar wheel.

you may need to check the drain hoses that lead to the drain pump and look for any kind of restrictions,or some thing stopping the impellar wheel from turning in order to drain the water

The clothes wash but the water will not pump out

Hi,

The 'pump' is responsible for draining the water, but sometimes if debris (i.e. coins, pegs, hairclips etc) has inadvertantly gone through the wash, this can often cause a blockage within the pump, restricting it from doing its job.

Before inspecting the pump, place the drain hose (one going to your tub) into a bucket, on the floor - the water should start draining into the bucket by itself.

Once bowl is empty, check for restrictions within the pump 'impellar' (looks like a little propellar) - remove any debris, if present. Note: you may need to put a towel down, as some water may flow out of the pump.

Also ensure the pump impellar turns freely, but with a small amount of resistance (as if winding on a rubber band type of resistance).

If pump is clear, then I would suggest you extract the diagnostic codes (if machine is electronic) to determine what is causing the pump malfunction.

If unable to check for diagnostics, then you could manually check for power at the pump, when machine is set to 'SPIN' cycle. If no power, then check for possible faulty switch/timer dial.

Cheers,

F02 light flashing during every rinse

If you have noticed water isnt draining, that almost certainly will be the problem. Depending where in the program the problem starts so will the different error codes appear. Remove pump and clean the contents at the impellar., then retry.

The water isn't draining after a cycle, so clothes are very wet coming out of machine

check the drain pump there could be something that is blocking the pump from turning.use a sshop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose if the water comes out easy then there is something small stopping the impellar wheel from turning.if it doe not come out easy it could be a piece of clothing blocking it or a bad drain pump.the lat possible problem is the main cotrol board has gone bad

Water will not drain form tub

does it sound like it wants to drain?
if the pump does run. you would have to remove the pump and clean it out. its possible that the impellars on the pump could be broken, meaning you would need a new pump. but usually its change, or small objects jammed in the pump impellar.
