There is a photo LED detector at the input to most cd slots. when a cd is inserted the light is blocked and triggers the motor to pull the cd in. i think your cd detector circuit is faulty

CD STUCK IN MY STEREO, WONT REGISTER CD ON FACE

I have the same model stereo and mine did the same just tonight! Ticked me off. I put in a CD and it played (been playin' CDs with no problems earlier) then the CD itself messed up. So I hit the eject button and nothing. All I see is AUX and radio tuner on it. No CD. what else sucks is I don't have an antenna hooked to it yet, (took out of my old van that was totalled so I didn't get an adaptor for antenna). I looked for a reset button on the face and under and I didn't see any. If you solved this issue, please let me know.

What can i do when my cd gets stuck in the cd player and wont come out

You'll need to take the stereo out of the dashboard. Unplug stereo and remove screws holding cabinet to the guts. Remove top of cabinet so you can see the cd and mechanisms inside the unit. Replug in the unit and push eject, watching mechanisms on both sides of the cd carrier to see if one is moving faster than the other. If eject works then you may have an alignment problem with the stereo - it's possible that you may have just fixed that too, so re - insert cd and immediately eject to ensure proper operation of the mechanism.
If cd does not eject, get a small bladed screwdriver and manually turn the gearing on the side of the cd tray, going from side to side until you have proceeded far enough to pull out cd. Now take the stereo to a repair shop for estimate - or buy a new stereo to install, depending on the cost of the one you're having trouble with!

Your CD player's lens is not working, meaning either if you can open it and change the lens or install a new stereo, see which solution is cheaper.( you can find stereos for around $35) . Good Luck
