SOURCE: I have a yardman 46 in cut riding mower, it is

Well one of the spindle assemblies, could be running a little slower on one side then the other. But I would take a guess that you are trying to cut grass, way too fast for the mower. Try running a ground speed a liitle slower and see what happens.
Good Day.

SOURCE: Hi, I've misplaced my user manual for a Husky

Without even seeing the mower they are usually removed by loosening the bolts / nuts that secure the main cutter shaft, Look for slotted holes with bolts in is a giveaway.

Snow blower works great but belt keeps burning and getting loose.

Hi Alan:
A burning belt is usually an indication that the belt is slipping.
Slipping can occur as a result of it not being tight enough, or because it is experiencing load that exceeds the friction that exists between the belt and the drive pulley.
I would check the belt tensioner (spring) to make sure it is adjusted TIGHT, and try to avoid really loading up the auger/fan assembly.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

24 in aries snow blower throws snow for maybe 2 ft any ideas

Since your snowblower is a two stage all metal unit the only thing keeping the snow from shooting out is either a worn out drive belt or a weak engine. The belt is the easy thing to change. Buy a new drive belt too since it is a good time to change both at the same time. The unit actually breaks into two parts at the back of the auger housing to expose the belts for changing. A local shop can do this service for 100-$200 bucks along with an oil change and chassis lube. Not too bad since this will keep your unit running reliably for years to come.

Auger does not engage on Ariens Model 924121 sno- Thro

first check shear pins in the auger ( try to turn big auger by hand, engine off)
then if they are good then try to turn impeller by hand, engine off
youll need to turn it a few times before the larger ones turn, but thats what you want
if they dont turn then you have sheared the gear box gears
be sure belts are good tooo

Auger shaft jamed

Try removing the belt and turning it by hand. If that doesn't work, you may have blown something into bits inside of the gear case.

Changing auger belt on snow blower

The most common cause of this is the drive belt is worn. If you remove the cover (usually plastic) in the middle of the snow thrower and look at the belts.
Your operator's manual will show you how to remove the cover and check/change the belts.
I am going to assume you have a Craftsman snow blower. If you don't have a copy you can get the manual through managemyhome.com
You will need the model number off the snowblower. It is usually located on the bottom right hand corner of the frame (from the handle side)
The model number looks like 247.123456.
The belt closest to the blower assembly drive the auger/blower and the belt closest to the engine drive the transmission.
With the engine not running, have someone depress the drive lever and check the belt.
You should only be able to depress the long side 1/2 inch or less. More than that the belt has stretched and needs to be replaced.
On some older blowers you can adjust the tension pulley, but most made in the last 15 years, you can't.
The belt may be frayed on the edges or glazed causing it to slip (it is shiny on the sides of the belt) It may be torn and broke completely.
Your Craftsman manual will show you step by step how to change th belt.
You can get parts for you Craftsman and most MTD made models through searspartsdirect.com. With other makes you can get parts through jackssmallengines.com
If you are unfamiliar with repairing machines you can get your snow blower repaired by taking it to your local Sears.
They will have a technician troubleshoot and repair the unit.

Snow thrower won't throw snow

the problem could be the snow is to heavy for the motor to keep up, if thats the case you may need to upgrade to a more powerful model or try not to overload it. take it a little slower so the motor can keep up. but try tightening the belt. with your pointer finger push down on the belt it should have about a half inch give, if it moves more than that its too loose and probably slipping under load
