When i turn on my dimension 9150 sometimes it makes a beeping noise and lights 3 & 4 come on an stay on. I can hear the computer running but it won't display anything on the monitor and the green light on the monitor comes on briefly and goes back to orange. What kind of problem is this?
Need to know the EXACT amount of beeps that it gives. Also, are the beeps rapid, one right after another, or for example does it go 3 short beeps, then a pause, and then 3 more. Computer beeping at you is usually a problem with the video card or memory. Try re-seating both and see if you still have the same problem. If you do, individually remove each component and power on to test if the beeps persist.

Check all below possibilties & see if it works.....
GGGY diagnostic lights can indicate a bad motherboard, or possibly a hard drive failure. You could try opening the case, then remove and reseat all the power and data cables, cards and memory and see if the system bootsCheck for burnt/charred power connectors on the motherboard and for any capacitors with bulging tops or are leaking, the tops should be perfectly flat.
Could you please check out if the you are not having a battery problem. This could be the source of all the trouble that you are having.

*You may or may not see a light on the back of your PC depending on the kind of power supply you have and the exact cause of the problem.(monitor light will likely be amber/yellow if your computer has stopped sending information to it)
*The power lights will stay on, you'll likely hear the fans inside your PC running, and you may or may not hear one or more beeps coming from the computer. If you hear beep sound, check your physical connections to the PC like RAM, Monitor, Cpu, Keyboard.
Use Master/Slave setup. It makes no difference which drive is in which position, you just have to set the jumper on the drive. Cable position makes no difference as long as the jumper is set correctly.
Read this very carefully. Turn off your ps3 from the back. Then turn it back on wait unit the light is red. Turn on the system through the front keep holding the power on. You will hear a beep one time that just tell you that the ps3 is powering on keep holding the button until you hear the second beep this will rest your video setting. If that dosnt work call me at sony
