Dell Inspiron screen upside down and no response to mouse

You may have accidentally hit a sequence of keys and now your Windows screen is upside down.

Press Ctrl + Alt + arrow (left, right, up or down) to rotate the screen to the correct way.

For XP:

Within Windows XP, certain video drivers or graphics card chipsets supporting 180 degree screen rotation can cause the Windows XP display to be presented upside down. This can be (but is not always) tied to lowering the screen resolution in some accessibility programs.
To revert to a right-side up display, hold down the CTRL, ALT and UP (arrow) keys.

Try it if you have Vista or Win7

Press "CTRL + ALT + arrow key"

Arrows:
Left - Rotates screen to the left
Right - Rotates screen to the Right
Up - Rotates screen to back to normal
Down - Flips screen

Hold down CTRL and ALT keys and press UP arrow to turn it back to normal. For the screen size, right click on an empty space on Desktop and select Properties then go to Settings tab. On screen resolution move the bar to adjust the screen size to your desired one.

the screen orientation can be adjusted, there should be a button combination similiar to CTRL+ALT+Arrow key of which direction you want to flip it to. or then you have to look on the bottom right corner of the screen for display adapter settings, there should be a orientation setting there if not, then right click on your desktop and select properties, then settings, then advanced. there go over all the pages and look for the orientation setting. That last advise if for windows xp.

Hold down the CTRL+ALT keys, and hit the Up arrow on the keyboard.

Ctrl,Alt and the arrow up, down key should fix it. Check your pc because some use a different key code. If no right click on desktop, go to properties, display settings and adjust the screen.
