Siemens SX56 - GPRS - DEFAULT COUNTRY CODE PROBLEM

Hi, Everyone
I got this great telephone from a friend of my in Miami.
The problem is that im in Norway, and in the GPRS the settings from my
provider
I'm not supposed to fill in any country code or area code. The number to
dial is (believe it or noe *99#.
When I enter only that - and leave out area code and country code - the
phone will not accept that.
It fills in with "+0" before the *99# - which leads to a mesage when trying
to connect, that the number is wrong.
Can ANYONE tell me how to tell the phone that it's  actually OK not filling
in area code and country code?
And make it accept it?

Any help is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!
