Question about ASUS P5PE-VM Motherboard
I am attempting to build a new computer system and have a ASUS m2A-Vm motherboard with 4 one gig sticks of corsair ddr2 cm2x1024-6400 5-5-5-12 memory running at 800MHz. I Have already installed an AMD 64 x2 4400 cpu and have a Thermaltake tr2-r1 cpu fan. The 450 Watt Okia atx power suppply supports PIV and AMD processors. Thermal grease WAS used in seating cpu with fan. The CPU and MB are supposed to be very compatabile as they were sold as a package.
Problem is: Although power is indeed reaching the MB as lit up green led indicates, it is NOT reaching the CPU fan. I am begining to wonder if this type fan is compatabile with this type board. Any information you could offer would be very appreciated. Thank You for your assistance. I appreciate your help. Pete
Either replace the line to the fan (or get a new fan with a longer cord )or leave the side door of your CPU off a bit and maybe put a fan beside it.
