That is a textbook memory (RAM) problem. One of your RAM sticks is bad. You can try to unseat them and reseat them to see if maybe one came loose. Of that does not work then you need to buy new RAM.

Et1862 stuck in elogo and restart with a beep continously

See if the computer will start in safe mode.
Steps to get in to safe mode: Make sure the computer is OFF not in sleep or hibernate mode.
Start computer and tap on the F8 key till you see a text screen that gives you the: Start windows in safe mode with networking.
Select that startup. If the computer doesn't start and you get the same beep - Then you have a possible hardware related issue.
If the beep is actually a number of beeps - this would relate to your system memory. Hope this help you in figuring out your issue.

Have a great night.

When starting up the computer, I get 5 short beeps then continous

These beeps seem to show that your system did not detect any RAM (memory) modules connected to it. Please check.

  1. Open the CPU case (turn the PC off first)
  2. Remove the RAMs from the slot.
  3. Turn ON your computer without the RAMs installed. Then observe if it gives the same beeps. If it is the same, then the RAMs might fail to register.
  4. Try to plug in carefully the RAMs in place. If you have 2 RAM modules, try to test 1 RAM at a time to see if the combination of the 2 mess up your system.

Continous beep when turned on

It identifiees Random Access Memory failure, Open the RAM cover at the bottom of the laptop, remove the RAM card/s from the slot, get the tissue, spray a bit of glass cleaner on tissue, and wipe the gold pins of the RAM. Reinstall and have fun.

Best of luck

No startup, just a continous 2second beep

This means that something has gone bad...

The RAM failing in most machines is a consistent BEEP BEEP BEEP, but shorter than two seconds. This could be RAM, could be something else. I recommend having it physically checked out. Office Depot is offering free checkups for back to school, if you bring it in they will tell you what is wrong for free, then you can post again and get instructions as to where to buy the proper part and/or how to install it.

Hope this helps!!

Check whether all connection are good and take out any CDs in the tray. I guess this must be a SMPS problem.

I have thinkcenter machine when i boot the machine continous beep is originating first small beep and then continous beep and behave like this and system does not boot please suggest

Yes those beeps are a beep code. The way it is currently beeping means you have a bad RAM stick. Open case and make sure the RAM is seated correctly, sometimes it can come loose. You can also take one stick out if you have two and reboot. If it does it again then take that RAM out and replace it with the one you took out. If it still beeps then you need to buy new RAM. That will correct the problem.
