Angel all my lights of my wierless router are all on

    First up, what were you doing before these lights came on? Was it just everyday use, were you updating the firmware, etc.? Secondly, have you tried a 'hard reset' of the router? This involves getting a pen (or other small object) and pressing the small reset button which is next to the antenna down for 30 seconds. Then unplugging for 10 seconds. Hope it helps!

In this case,we can do a power cycle of the router.steps to do a power cycle
1.unplug the router power adapter and then the modem power adapter if its a cable modem then we should also unscrew the coaxial cable wait for 10 sec and then screw it and now plug the modems adapter first wait fir lights to be stable and then the routers power adapter.now check the lights.
If power cycle doesnt resolve your issue then do a reset.restting a router is setting it to the factory setting so pls note the changes you have done in the netgear smart wizard page if any.
steps:
1.HARD RESET-you ll find a circular hole(reset button) at back panel of the router(see d chart on the router ).take a paper clip and press and hold for 30 secs and release it after 30 secs.
2.FUNNY RESET-If the previous step doesnt work,then we have do the funny reset.Here press and hold the reset button for 1 minute simultaneously plug and unplug the router 3 times.

CONTINUAL DISCONNECTION OF WIRELESS CONNECTION
There are a few things thatcan cause you to lose wireless connection with your wireless router.1. Weak signal strength,check the signal strength on your wireless card. If it is weak move thewireless router away from brick or concrete walls and if possible locatethe wireless router higher up.2. Have you secured yourwireless router from people near your from unauthorized access? i.e. change thedefault password, setup encryption use WPA2 or WPA, change the default SSID,and turn off SSID broadcast, and for added protection, enable MAC addressfiltering which allows only the MAC address/es of your wireless card/s toconnect to your wireless router.3. Unplug both your DSL/Cable Modem, and the Router from power. Wait 30 seconds. Plug in power to DSL/Cable Modem only, and wait for it to connect. then plug in power to Router, and wait for it to start up. Give it about 1 min. If the lights are still not on, you may need to reconfigure your router. If this does not work, connect your cable/DSL modem to your computer directly, and power cycle it again. Once it is online, check to see if you can get online, if you cannot, contact your internet service provider, as you have ruled out a problem with the router.

Push and release the “Reset” button.
The lights on the Router will momentarily flash.
The “Power/Ready” light will begin to blink. When the “Power/Ready” light becomes solid again, the reset is complete

Depends ... Is yours a network ready printer (has a ethernet port and firmware to allow you to set a I.P.?)

Hook it to your router.

You may be interested in network management from Cisco ... Network Magic. Download evaluation copy free. Google it ... you can read the deal they offer there so I will not repeat it here.

I use the paid pro version and I love it. They do not provide Network Printer support per-ce but, your printer will show up on the network map and it will give you assistance is some areas.

you can get a free program for your phone, that enables you to use it as i wierless router. all you do is download and install it on your phone, and you ca send out wierless internet to not only your laptop, but any other wierless device as well.

check the power socket by using some other eqipment if power is coming from the power socket, if it is
mostly in this type if cases the adapter is bad, replace the ac adapter and check,

How to connect to a wierless network ?


hello you could try this turn the power off to the modem and take the ethernet lead out. at the back of the modem is a reset button press and hold for 30 seconds after that reconnect the ethernet lead and power and re set up again good luck
