Sounds some like you know a little about appliances.if power is leaving switch and burner not working.its your burner.take a look at wiring diagram it will show you the power path, use volt meter[looking for out put at switch],[the limiter that you see in wiring diagram is built into the burner and can not be replaced by its self]so if power leaving switch replace burner.hope that helps.God bless ,tom

Frigidaire stove front large/small burner combination. Large burner works but the small burner in the centre of the large burner does not come on at all with any heat. ??

This is a inner/outer burner type assembly? Sounds like a glass top.
Either way, your switch for that burner or the burner needs to be replaced.
If you are able and it is possible, inter change switches to see if it makes a difference. Interchange Large with large, small with small.
If yous switches are connected as one unit, you will not be able to do this. Sorry, I have not looked up your wiring diagram.

The front right element on the stove top comes on full heat when the control is set to three or four. It doesnt cycle. just wide open throttle. My wife says if She turns it off and back on it starts...

The "infinite switch" is sticking due to burnt contacts. The problem will only get
worse until it is replaced. You will need the model and serial number, generally
located behind the lower drawer to get a replacement. (usually around 40 dollars)
Unplug unit or shut off stove breaker and remove (usually 4 screws) for the control panel. You can make drawing of the wires or use a cellphone to take several pictures
before replacing switch. (do not try changing switches around as they are different
amperages). Also check the burner socket itself, it may require replacement as
well. (They can short out on the chassis and ruin the switch). Hope this is helpful.

One of the dual zone stove burner stopped working. The inner one has stopped the outer ring is still working

You have to determine if the control or the burner is bad. Only way is to verify power from the control. If power is there the burner is bad. If the control is not powering the burner then the control is bad. Rarely is it both but not a impossibility. 240 volts so a trained professional is preferred.

Inner burner -- front right burner - does not heat up

You will have to check your stat.this is the switch which controls the power to both parts of the ring.It may be faulty. This is a thermostatic switch. It can be checked with a mains test lamp.If this is ok then check the spade terminals are still intact at the ring itself.

Dual element burner on glasstop range...inner element stays on

It is the burner control (behind the knob). The triac in the control has failed. $50 item, 10 minute change. Just make note which wire goes to which terminal.

I doubt that it is the control board, as the board has little to do with the stove top, but rather controls the display and the oven temperature/feedback monitoring.

Hope this helps.

The inner right front element will not heat up on our Kenmore Elite ceramic stove top. The middle and outer elements on the right front work fine. Why is this happening?

inner element burned out. Either burner needs replacing or control switch is bad. Take out burner and see if coil has a break in it. IF not, then switch is bad. I cannot see your repyl due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks

Problem w/burners & lights after self clean

You may want to re-seat the right two cooking elements, in case there is poor electrical contact. When you have them removed, clean the contacts with denatured 91% alcohol and a Q-tip. The removal procedure follows.
First, unplug the range.
LIFT–UP PORCELAIN COOKTOP
To lift:  When cool, grasp the cooktop front
edge.  Gently lift up until the two support rods
snap into place.
To lower:  Hold the cooktop front edge and
carefully push back on each support rod to
release.  Then lower the top into place.
COIL ELEMENTS
➢When an element is on, it will cycle on
and off to maintain the heat setting.
➢Coil elements are self-cleaning. Do not
immerse in water.
To remove:  When cool, raise element.  Carefully pull out and away from receptacle.
Check them for damage. They do wear out.
To replace:  Insert element terminals into receptacle.  Guide the element into place. Press down on the outer edge of element until it sits level on drip bowl.
COIL ELEMENT SURFACE
➢ On Canadian models, the two front elements will not operate during self-clean.To prevent the risk of electric shock or fire, never line drip bowls with aluminum foil.

If that does work, you may have a faulty control panel. In that case, call Maytag at the number below.
