My t5710 will not stay on a channel.

I have two t5710's. I can not set a channel on one. I follow the steps in the manual and it will stop for a few seconds and then run thru the numbers.

Your radio is in scan mode. Check to see your scan button is not stuck down in some way. Also, check your owners manual for the directions to shut of the scan feature. Unfortunately, what settings you radio has active when you shut it off, it will remember when you turn back on. If you do not have your user guide you can find one here: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T56XX_57XX_User_Manual_E.pdf Pages 22-23

Cannot set interference eliminator code on my second t5710

First check to see that your keypad is unlocked. You can lock/unlock the keypad by holding in the PTT button for three seconds. You will see a little lock icon when it is locked.

To set the code for a channel:

1. Press Menu until the CODE number begins to flash.

2. Press the + or - to select the desired code.

3. Press the PTT to save the code.

Note: You can set a different code ofr each channel using this procedure.

Zero (0) equals OFF.

If you continue to have problems, set both radios back to a very basic setting with all special featured turned off and see if you can communicate. Then add the desired features back in one at a time until you have what you'd like on both radios.

Best regards.

I have a Motorola Talkabout T5710. I no longer

Perhaps the privacy code has been changed on one of the radios? If you have a manual follow the instructions for setting the codes and make sure they are the same on both radios.

Unit has power but no sound and does not transmit

Here's a link to the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T56XX_57XX_User_Manual_E.pdf

Check the settings for the frequency, code and Qt filter. They must be set identically on all radios in the group. If you are still having trouble after doing this, try shutting off the code and the Qt filter. (Usually setting to off or zero)

Best regards.

T5710 die

Check your Qt filter and be certain it is set to zero on both radios. If you are certain each of the setting is the same on both units, your dropped unit may be no longer functioning. Sorry.

Hello bwilliam. Batteries can give you a false reading. Check your batteries under load. Good luck.
