Blown channel Hi, I have the Rotel RX-950ax. I have one blown channel. It works, but the sound is tinny. Can I fix it or should I shoot it? Thanks for your advice.

If the Unit Powers On then most probably the Fuses could have gone bad You will be able to replace the Main Fuse yourself but REPLACE WITH THE SAME KIND OF FUSE in terms of RATING
Stab in the dark here, but I don't see any screws in the main board in the left rear viewed from the front. I have a dead one here. Standby light only. I'm guessing relay unless I am looking in the wrong place for the missing *****. Please advise.
there would be life in the old girl it just depends how much you love her and how much you are willing to spend to get her fixed ?? some old rotels are still fetching good money so it might be worthwhile getting a quote
Unless yuo can find a Rotel authorized service center, you are not likely to find any service information. These units should not be difficult to repair. Their designs are pretty much standard with a few twists. Any shop that handles audio repair should be able to resolve this. If not, please post your location and I'll try to locate a shop for you.
Also, are there any indications that the unit is trying to work at all or is it completely dead?
Hi...
Does it sound tinny with headphones too?
