Most stores sell individual parts and there should be a customer care number on the printer call that number tell them what happened they should send you a brand new tray

Wont print. Cant detect paper.

There's a problem with the software in the unit. Brother does no longer offer software updates. You can try and power off the unit, unplug the USb cord from the back of the machine. Wait 1 minute, plug the USB back in and power the unit up. After unit cycles, should be ok. If not, uninstall/reinstall the software///

Our imagerunner 5000 doesnt recognize full tray 1 or full tray 2, we have to use tray 3....what causes this?

I don't know if this may be a bit to late???? Have you looked behind the the top two paper trays for any paper wedged behind the trays them self? There are switches behind the tray for paper present and paper size.... You may also have broken switch in the back of the copier..... There could be a few other things..... Good Luck

I have a Panasonic DP-8020E with a consant wrench light on. I have recycled the power and it did nothing. It also is asking for paper have you ever heard of that?

The wrench being displayed is most likely a P.M. counter or a cleaning web counter. It will soon lock the copier up, till the counter is reset after replacing the parts that are needed. The copier maybe looking for paper in the manual feed tray. Try puting paper in the manual tray and see if the problem goes away. Good Luck

Dr6080 paper tray does not raise up. computer says no paper in tray

Use Qumatool and check if tray is lifting. If it is lifting, then Tray lifting motor is okay, then you need to adjust the sensor just under the Document lifting tray. If it not lifting, then you may have to change the motor. (Just now saw yr note and replying, hope it is not tooooo late!) S. Mohan

Paper Tray won't raise

The spring that pushes the paper up is no longer able to perform its job. You need to replace the tray.

It sounds like the photo paper tray has gone in.Lift the paper tray and pull the blue photo paper tray all the way till it stops. Then push it back in till it clicks into place. Try printing again.

Printing 5x7 invitation

use the mpf tray. go to the machine press menu down arrow untll you get to tray settings. right arrow over till u get to paper type...then down arrow till you see paper size...right arrow again till u see tray 1...down arrow till you see mpf..right arrow till you see letter. Now that you are in the mfp section you can down arrow and you will see serveral selections I would keep it at letter. when you select it an * will appear next to letter. Then select menu and you and the printer is set. Now go to the print option in the program that you are using and when the dialog box to print opens select properties. go to paper quality the mpf should be selected in the tray souce. Now go down and you will see the advance button, click on that you will see Paper/Output make sure it says Paper Size and Letter is selected. Media Type should say Plain 1. If the invitations is on a heavier paper like card stock click the down arrow and select Covers 1 . If your paper is coated like matte finish photo paper select Coated 1. Now click ok. Do a test print and see if you get what you want. If not, let me know.--Deeva
