How do I do fractions on my TI-84 calculator

There is no button, otherwise you would have discovered it. However you can use a command called [|=>Frac] or [ToFrac]. It is accessible through the key sequence [MATH][1:ToFrac]
To use it , you enter the numerator and denominator of your fraction, and before pressing [ENTER] , press [Math][1:ToFrac]. Thus by pressing the key sequence, you force the result to be displayed as a reduced fraction.

How do you do this

(-3/4)-(-2/5)

You MUST put parenthesis around fractions in a TI-83. If you have a fraction with multiple parts in the numerator or denominator, you MUST put parenthesis around either the numerator or denominator (depending on which one has multiple parts).

E.G.:
X*Y-L/N
Should be Typed
((X*Y-L)/N)

Make Sense?
