actually, there is a manual reset button. It's behind the panel on the left corner. Has a small red button. I fixed it and thanks for offering advice.

Your dryer doesnt have a manual rest. it will have a thermal fuse that will fail if the unit gets too hot.
if you have a top lint filter then the thermal is behind the rear panel.
if it is a front lint filter then it is behind the filter duct.
either way it is white plastic about 1 inch long and has 2 wires on it.
before you replace the thermal, make sure you dont have a plugged vent behind the unit or a clogged bent. either will cause low air flow and the thermal to fail.

Check the back of the machine to see if there is a tiny red button. This is a thermal safety cut out button, which you may need to just press to reset

My whirlpoolduet dryer is on control lock how do I unlock it model # gew9200lw1

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This is a common issue with Whirlpool Duet however, your whirlpool duet needs a reset to resolve the control lock problem. Press and hold the END OF CYCLE/CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds to reset the control. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Would first check the Breaker panel Breaker and see if it is tripped. Try resetting, if it trips out immediately would call an electrician.
