Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
I have a Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWW washer. It will cycle through and perform as normal (On light; door locked indicator light will click off and cycle end will chime when cycle complete) except that when you load clothes into the washer for the first load or any addditional loads, close the door, and turn the timer dial, the washer will begin its cycle even if the on/off button is not pushed. It will fill and go through cycles until it gets to the spin cycle. The pump motor will then drain the unit but the spin will not start until the on/off button is pushed ON. Checked connections--none loose. Any ideas?
Problem solved by ourselves! It was NOT in the circuit board (brain) of the machine. It was NOT in the door locking assembly as others would lead us to believe. It WAS the on/off switch on the control panel--part number 22002560 - a $22.00 problem fix.
