How do i connect a hands free kit to a htc desire

You need to put your hands free device into pairing mode this is usually done by turning the power on and keeping the power button pressed in for about 10 seconds after the power has come on. Then you should get a solid LED light up, (depends on device)

On the phone go into

1 Settings
2 Wireless and Networks
3 Bluetooth Settings
4 Turn on Bluetooth
5 Scan for devices

The name of your hands free kit should appear, select this and the phone will ask if you want to pair with the device, confirm this. You probably will get asked for a passkey or password this is usually four zeros or 1,2,3,4. enter this and confirm. Your device should now be paired and each time you want to use it just turn on your handset Bluetooth then your hands free device and your good to go.

Just enter any password until the device resets itself. It has a factory default of 10 wrong passwords and then it will reformat itself to factory specs smile.gif

Bluetooth not functioning

Phone must have the bluetooth feature turned on in the settings menu. Also set it to discoverable. The headset must transmitting, to do this press and hold the power up/off button until the light turns on steady. Usually it takes 10 or more seconds. You then must use your phone to "search for new device" from the bluetooth menu. It should find the headset. When it does select "pair" then it will ask for the passcode. Enter 0000 (four zeros) the default code for bluetooth devices. Don't forget to turn the discoverable setting back off so other devices can't access your phone. You shouldn't need to download anything for this process. If the bluetooth is compatible with your phone. Good luck

I have a blackberry curve and am wanting to pair my bluetooth HS850 to it. Please help!

There actually is a trick to the HS850 - flip the boom closed, then hold down the button just until the light holds solid - IMMEDIATELY after it does flip the boom open and this should keep the light solid. Then on your cell/device search for bluetooth devices - you should be able to find it now. Passkey for most devices is 0000.
