VideoSafe with Quick DVD

I keep getting a prompt that says the device is not available or being used by another application. I don't know what else is running and cannot figure it out. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times and tried to find anything else running but can't find anything. I did get it to work on another computer, however the audio was missing when i burned the dvd. But I think I can figure that out. Please let me know how I can see all the devices that could be causing this conflict and shut them off....Thanks! I have a similar problem. I'm using SmartDisk VideoSafe with QuickDVD to try to convert some old VHS to DVD, it will burn the video but there isn't any sound. It's driving me nuts. There are only 4 inputs on the unit standard A/V jacks and an S video, my old VCR does not support S video and only has 2 jacks one yellow video and one white (left?) audio...looking for a solution to audio problem or I will take suggestions on a new product as long as it's reasonably priced. Been searching the internet for new stuff and now I'm really confused..help please

I can help you with the problem about knowing what devices are in your computer (this solution is for windows XP home and professional) go to your control panel in your start bar make sure the controll panel is in classic view and open "System" and open the hardware tab then click "Device manager" you should be able to see all the devices on you PC From there :) hope this helped

I HAVE A PC WITH INSERTED NVIDIA GRAPHIC CARD GEFORCE 4 MX 4000. DO I NEED DRIVERS TO INSTALL ???

Hello there,
For some operating system like Windows 7, some graphic drivers are automatically installed but the device will perform better if disc driver are installed. For some legacy operating system like Windows 98, you have to install your device driver or accustom with a 4bit color.
Devices that use Microsoft drivers has a limited function and you don't have additional options for that device. for example Realtek audio drivers has speaker config, equalizer and sound effects.
The purpose of a device driver is to simplify programming by acting as a translator between the hardware and the applications or operating systems that use that hardware.
Yes you have too.

Hopefully this information helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Hi there,

I haven't used this program myself, but speaking from experience in using similar programs, there might be an option inside the preferences menu, where you need to set that device to the current connected device in order for this program to recognize it.
If that doesn't work, go to Start > Programs, then look for the Pinnacle application. Right-click on it and select Troubleshoot Compatibility.
If that doesn't work, you can try updating the Driver and the Firmware of your device through the manufacturer's website. Maybe the device itself is not installed on your computer correctly. Plugging it into the USB doesn't assure that it's going to be working properly.

If you need more specific information, or if you need any additional information, return to this page and post a response. I'll be happy to assist you further.

I can't find the best driver for theAsus N660gt top, on the windows experience index my cpu and ram are 4.4, they were 5.1 until i updated my driver to the most recent. With this driver my device failed...

You card has the support of Windows 7 and Vista. I don't know which version of windows you have but, you can get your drivers here;
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=EN6600+Series&p=9&s=2&os=29&hashedid=0BvA6W0OUPgFB5SD
I have entered your info so all you have to do is click on arrow next to "choose your o/s", and choose what version you are using. Two problems you may be encountering with this card is, you may have the wrong driver, and/or you cannot install new drivers without uninstalling old versions or prior versions. The best way to handle your sitiuation now, is to get into "device manager" and uninstall all Asus software. This would include, VGA driver, "Smart Doctor" and "OSD Gamer". Then restart. Get back into your device manager and make sure all Asus software has been removed. If you have your installation CD, insert it and reinstall your drivers and "utilities",ie: Smart Doctor and OSD Gamer. You have to start with the VGA driver first in ant of your downloads, or it won't work. Remember to restart after each download sequnce is complete. If you don't have your CD or, want to upgrade your drivers and utilities(I would at this point) You can get them at the above site. You want to try and do initiall install off of CD when you can to make sure you get the bells and whistles you may not get otherwise, But it will work either way. You want to download drivers and utilities, even if you don't game, to get best results. Again, you definately want to have the VGA driver, the Smart Doctor and OSD Gamer. If you have questions let me know at "add a comment"

GOOD MORNING Sir system please run the ncx 2000-xp update now or uninstall in the contral panel/software the latest window hotfix/ service patch

The update prompt is nothing more than a notification flag, it doesn't really know if there is an update available or not. Having said that, I'd recommend you do the following which should get you all set. Ap Uninstall any current version of vSpace. Reboot. Makesure you have no missing or conflicting device drivers inside of devicemanager. Also, while in Device Manager, navigate to the Ports Section andsee if there is anything listed for Intel Active Management Technology. It will be listed as IAMT or SOL/COM3. If so, right click it and disableit. Then run the NComputing cleanup utility located here:www.nc-eng.com/tools/ncuninstall.exe. Download current version for XP(v4.03.104.1) from here: www.ncomputing.com/download/x300. Unpack the.ZIP file and install. Reboot and register.Do NOT, I repeat, do NOTinstall from the provided CD and upgrade. Simply install straightfrom the download file I provided in the link. Lastly make SURE you REGISTER the CARD and the XD1 boxes.

If i get a dazzle dvd recorder, will it work on windows 7

Hi and welcome to Fixyah,

Yes it will work with Windows 7, The only problem that you encounter is if the driver of your device is not detected. Remember that the disc of Instant DVD recorder work with 32 bit only and not the 64 bit.
But no worry there is available driver for 64 bit if your Windows 7 is a 64bit.

My pc cannot install microsoft word and the vga card( Via chrome9 hc igp family and the dvd/cd rom is not working but on checking the device driver manager it reads that the device is working properly,pls...

many dvd roms require manufacturers software or third paty like nero to use dvd player, the computer just recognizes it as a cd rom. if not, you still may need 3rd party dvd playback software, if your computer is pre-vista.

as far as microsoft word not loading, that is very unusual. do you have a via processor, the microcode may not be compatible, but i wont really be able to make an educated guess without knowing wht kind of error message u get.
