Question about Gateway PLSM46TV 46 in. Television
Gateways are an absolute nightmare to work on. Basically, there are no parts available for them, except from Gateway, who used new sets parted out, and they charged incredible amounts for service calls (if you were lucky enough to live in a metro area with a gateway store nearby).
Most shops will turn the away. The Y-sus and X-sus boards are very prone to problems, and unfortunately, are not available for replacement.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Especially considering how much you probably paid for this TV. I have a Gateway, but only because it was free, and I have to repair it every 6 months.
