Question about Plantronics .Audio 326 Stereo PC Headset
I got them last night and tested them in teamspeak, they were perfectly fine but today I got home and reconnected to teamspeak and was testing the microphone to make sure it still works, and it's name came up in red with a line going through it, a pop up then came but i didn't read it properly and clicked yes and it's somehow removed it completely? -tried a restart -tried unplugging and plugging back in Anyone got any ideas?

SOURCE: pc microphone
i found a solution under the control panel. to configure some settings under the default view of the control panel, use the Ease of Access icon. this does not allow you to see the actual device. by switching to the classic view, use the Speech Recognition Option, which showed that i had 3 microphone drivers installed. all that needed to be done was to select the one i was using as the default.

SOURCE: Noise reproduction problems
I called into Plantronics Support Phone Number: 1-800-544-4660 with similar issue; Noise at other end. Tech (Oscar) told me if I had evidence of purchase date, the one year warranty valid and to send in unit with copy of original receipt. A replacement will be sent back within 3-5 days of receiving. He told me to just mail it in an envelope. No box is necessary. Hope you call in and get same response.

The black out or power surge could have affected the unit and caused it to short circuit. If you have purchased it within 1 year of today's date, it is still under warranty and can be replaced by plantronics.

SOURCE: Headset has static
Perform a reset on the headset. Hold down the mute button (the dial on the back of the headset needs to be pushed straight in), and at the same time hold down the call answer button until you see the green light on the headset blink a few times. Release both the mute button and the call answer button. See if it works now. If it doesn't, try a re-subscription (should be available in the manual).
