Question about Suspension & Steering for Mazda MAZDA5
The alignment is visibly off, as the car is pulling hard, often in different directions at different times, but something must be causing the hard swaying. I've already replaced the front sway bar end links - no change. New PS axle, driver side seems fine. Tie rod ends are tight. Tires are a little overworn on the insides, probably due to whatever is causing this swaying issue over time. Here's the timeline: Feb2012: replace shocks and struts, PS front lower control arm w/ ball joint May2012: car starts slightly pulling to right side Sept2012: pulling gets worse; investigation reveals PS front strut mount is bad; replaced thinking that was cause of pulling; wrong- still happenning Oct2012: Twisting starts to happen, along with pulling late Oct2012: bring to shop- they say it just needs an alignment. Alignment done, problem is actually worse now. Nov2012: shop says sway bar end links ad PS ball joint bad. Replaced links - no change. Ball joint looks like it could use greasing. I'm at a loss as to what is causing this swaying. Bad sway bar bushing allowing the bar to roam? transmission issue? steering- the recall was fixed, but could a bad module be causing some adverse reaction? Appreciate the help! -Don
