Question about Memorex Ultra Traveldrive - 80GB 80 GB Hard Drive
Actually my Memorex ultra traveldrive 120GB was working fine, but i accidentally moved all folders & files in another folder in the same disk by pressing ctrl+A. Now my external HDD is not recognizing by any computer.
May be i have moved the autorun files also. I don't want to format the drive, because i have important data in it. I can see the drive letter
''G'' for my external HDD, but i am unable to access. It is not opening(right click is also not working for it). I have also tried with cmd promp, but no use. Green light is on.
I also tried total media back up software, but in vain. Is there any chance to take backup of my files?
If any body knows the solutio please tell me what to do.
Thanks in advance.

Lb44145 ,when you got the item did it come with the disk? And if you have the packaging does it say 'Vista Compatible' if not i would recommend you buy one which is vista compatible.

Things to ponder before deleting
Rather then deleting them right away, try moving the "day the files were uploaded" to another drive. Then try accessing the files on your memorex. Do the files and folders open properly? There not corrupt? Has the memorex hdd drive recreated the folder you just moved? etc...
Once your satisfied that yes there are two copies then you could safely remove one.

Open Windows Help and Support.
Search for "assign drive letter".
Make sure the drive is using a drive letter that is already in use on your computer.
I hope this helps.

Try a new cable this may work if not it sounds like the HDD has failed you can try placing the drive in a zip lock bag and but it in the fridge overnight then try again if this fails then its U/S.
