Question about Kenmore 22622 Top Load Washer
Checked the water line and cold water comes out.
First I would suggest you remove the hoses from the back of the machine and use a mirror to peer into the connections of the machine to make sure it doesn't have an accumulation of grit blocking either connection.
The connections to which you attach your water lines are extensions of a mixing valve. If you are lucky, this has failed since they are not expensive to buy or difficult to replace with a few common tools.
If you aren't lucky, then the programmer has failed and that is far more costly.
This may not work on your machine but is worth a try:
- Turn off the water supply at the wall. - Turn on your machine to any program segment as if you wished to use the machine - Switch the cold-warm-hot switch back and forth while listening closely near the hose connections.
Some mixing valves will make a little noise when changing over between wash/rinse temperatures. If you can hear distinct clicks from inside the machine, then you may have a failed programmer.

remove the cold water hose from the back of the washer. look inside the area where you unscrewed the hose from. there is a screen in there. if its clogged with sediment remove screen and clean. if that doesnt fix it or if theres no sediment youll have to replace the valve to fix the problem

The most likely cause for water fill temperature problems is the solenoid has burned out, usually cold first, it gets used more. Not a repairable item , easy to replace

most likely cuase would be the inlet valve
you would need the complete model number to make sure you get the right part for that unit.

The inlet valve that the hoses attach too the solenoid for the hot side may be stuck closed or clogged with sediment. May need new inlet valve.

If you turn off the hot water line, and you have cold water then suspect the water inlet valve. Unplug the unit and turn off the water to disconnect the water hoses. Pull out the washer and remove the back of the unit by the water hose inlet. The new valve is around $65.00 and is on connectors, which make it an easy fix.
