You shouldn't need a CD for the router to work. The CD isn't a driver CD it is a CD to make connecting the router eaiser but it isn't necessary to use the CD to make the router work. This URL should help you set up this router:

Need setup CD?

What's the make and model of your router?

You don't need a cd to setup the router. You need the manual and the drivers which you can get from the manufacturer's website.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Netgear Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the drivers and look for Manuals.

I lost my cd driver for my router

No biggie, What kind of router? Make and model?

You can get on the internet and download anything you need concerning your router from the Manufacturer's website.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the drivers. Look for Manuals.

The manual will tell you the ip address you need to get into the router and it will give you the default userid and password to the router.

I have a netgear router and a belkin usb network adapter, i am tryng to connect to my computer upstairs but it can't find a signal. The computer upstairs does not come with a cd drive so i was unable...

the usb network adapter probably isn't working properly without drivers. You should be able to get the the drivers for your model adapter at the belkin website under support. Then if your laptop is lacking a cd drive you can just load the drivers on to thumb drive and install them from there. I hope i was able to help.

How to install windows XP Pro without using cd drives

Find a computer with a CD-ROM drive.
Find a USB memory-stick that can hold 1 gigabyte.
Copy all the files from the CD-ROM onto the memory-stick.

Carry the memory-stick to the CD-lacking computer, and plug it in to a USB port, and install from there.

How to install a wireless router without cd

You can download the device drivers from NetGears own website @ http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WGT624.asp you will need to select the EXACT model( version you have - this can be found on the stamp underneath the router that has all those barcodes on) and download the latest drivers for yours. by doing this it will trigger 1 of 2 responses:

1. You have the latest version, no update is needed

2. You must setup your device before updating drivers. to do this please select OK

1 - Will trigger an auto setup of the device.
2 - Will take you through the setup wizard itself

which depends on how your router was shipped. If you have brought the router 2nd hand then you can obtain a new setup disc free of charge via the same site if neither of the above work.

For future ref: PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR 'FULL' ROUTER INFO-Different models of the same router can work quite differently and you may not get a best fix without it

Best Regards
Cruton

No Installation CD for Wireless-G Notebook Adapter

Hello! It is possible to install it without the CD< but not easily >You will need to, On a separate computer, Go to Linksys.com and download the drivers, then just burn them to a CD< or Put them on a flash drive, and install it on the laptop. Unless the laptop has a Ethernet port, then just connected the computer to the linksys router VIA Ethernet to download the drivers.
