Question about LG 42LC2D 42 in. LCD HDTV
My kid hit the plasma tv with a toy and now there are colorfull vertical and horizontal lines right in the middle of the screen. Is this fixable? and if it is how expensive is it?
This is indicative of a cracked PDP panel (the plasma panel itself). Even though there may not be impact damage on the outside (the filter), it has probably cracked the inner layers. Unfortunately, it is probably more expensive to fix than to replace the entire unit.

SOURCE: TV got hit with a toy
Yor LCD screen is broken, unfortunatly it usually cost as much or more to replace the screen than it does to buy a new tv.
If you are adventureous you could try to find the same tv that is not working and combine the two to make one good one. Sometimes you can find them on ebay.
Or you could sell it like it is.
Let me know if I can help.
