Question about Washing Machines
Most washing machines have a childproof locking mechanism, these can either be electrical or mechanical.
If you forced it you may damage something.
I would recommend contacting a Repair engineer (some do a free call out or advice over phone) or use an recognised AEG Technician for a fixed price repair
If item is out of warranty please contact me for where to claim?

Your door will not open if there is water still in the machine. Try "spin only". If this fails, get a bucket, remove your outlet tube from the wall drain, put into bucket. Wall plug off first. After all the water is drained try the door, do not force it.
Then check your outlet filter; the water does not go thru for there may be a block in your filter, or tube from the tub to drain area. Or finally in your pump. Dont forget to refix drain pipe in wall in exact position.
And rate me pl.

SOURCE: Door locked
Rather than taking the top off the machine and fiddling around to find the catch as guest suggests, I got it to open with some strong string. I took a fairly long piece and threaded it into the groove where the door joins the metal front of the machine, on the catch side of the door. Then pull both ends of the string very hard to the left (you may want to wear gloves to protect your hands). Pull hard and move the string up and down until the door opens. Worked for me.

check your timer maybe the motors inside is defective, or your wiring is cut by the rats, or your timer itself is defective, the contact is not working properly.

Hi, You have taken out the strainer of the washer front and cleaned it regularly haven't you?? If that's clear, it's probably just the waste line blocked. Try removing the waste pipe where it joins under the sink, put it in a bucket and see if the washer drains. It's probably full of sh"te. If that doesn't work, then I'm probably full of sh"te and you might need a new pump.
