The fact that you have the standby lights tells me that your 5VDC standby power supply if functional. You need to verify that you are getting the "power supply on" signal from the main board to the power supply board. It should be anywhere from 3.3VDC to 5VDC. If you are not getting that signal from the main board, you have a problem with your main board.

I have a Sony Bravia LCD tv an it won't turn on at all the standby light is not even there I've tried turning on an off and leaving unplugged for an hour still nothing.? Help,

You either have a problem with your power supply board or main board. I would start with having the power supply fuse checked as well as the power supply board!

ILO-32HD Is stuck in Standby

Look for swollen caps on the power supply and replace if needed. If caps look good, then replace your main board

Wont power up

I'm willing to bet you have bad capacitors on the power supply board. Is there a clicking sound when you try and turn it on?? I've heard that Samsung is repairing the power supplies even if your warranty has expired. Give Samsung a call and see if they will take care of the problem

Vizio HDTV E3DB420VX wont turn on

If your power indicator isn't lighting up, you don't have your 5vdc standby power. You're most likely looking at a power supply issue. Did this happen after a T-storm???

Hi my samsung crt tv come up on start up but couldn't stay for more than few seconds before it goes standby. I've tried to check settings but could not even get anywhere before it goes back to standby

Whenever a television starts doing this the motherboard/main board and or power supply is usually at fault. The power supply can usually be rebuilt for around $150 depending upon the knowledge and skill of your local television repair shop. To replace the parts is usally more expensive then it would be to purchase another television ($300 and up). Are you sure this is the model number of your television because this model number is not for a CRT television. For troubleshooting you can unplug it overnight to try and power cycle it but it sounds like your problem is beyond doing any type of power cycle to get the television back going again. It would need the repair shop or to be discarded for another.

I have a hw-c560s samsung the thing is the standby power light is on but when I turn the power on the plus and minus volume lights up then it powers back to standby...... I have unplugged from power and...

You've most likely got power supply problems here (inside the device) either in the AC-DC conversion section or it's control chip.
Meaning, it's a repairers workshop job (late thought: other than seeing if there is anything on the back of the unit referring to AC fuse by a cover which usually unscrews and contains a capsule type fuse with a clear glass body and metal tips. If theres a visible thin or thick-ish bit of wire inside looking clean all is well. If not it needs a replacement - very cheap)

Samsung le32r74bd When I turn the tv off by the button the standby light comes on as it is in standby and I can turn it back on again with the remote control. How do I turn it off properly without it...

Hello,

You need to check the output voltages of the power supply to see which one goes off. It may be due to short circuits some where in the panel board.if otherwise power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help in solving the problem....

The TV doesn't power on. I've changed the fuse and when mains power is switched on the TV makes a noise as though power is getting through. Pressing the standby on the remote has no effect -...

The problem might be on your power supply section.

1. Check for open resistor or maybe a shorted transistor. Use a multimeter
2. Also check for a leak capacitor

Is the fuse you replace is still o.k? at times the blown fuse indicates that there is a short circuit on your t.v. Maybe the noise you hear is also because of a short circuit. Be careful in replacing fuse, always replace same type for the protection of you t.v

Hope this may help you

My LCD TV Series 530 keeps on blinking and would not turn on. why does it keep doing that?

I've experienced similar issues with a 42" Samsung LCD TV. From what I've read online, I believe it could be a problem in the circuitry of the power supply. Apparently, Samsung used under rated capacitors in the power supply and the result is a turn on delay or blinking on and off. If this is the case, then the capacitors would need to be replaced to fix the issue.
