Question about Haier XQJ50-31 Top Load Washer
When I put on a normal wash I'm getting oil spots on my clothes/fabrics. This is becoming heavier. I have cleaned out the filter and run the machine on empty with white vinegar to clean it out - there were still oil residue marks on the drum. What could be causing this and can I fix it?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

will be an UNBalanced load, maybe there was not enough clothes in the load so in that case the drum would not be able to distribute the load evenly so gave up on the spin, hence wet stuff!

I have had the same problem with the same model and rang up the help line to be told that the machine cannot sense the clothes in the drum. I tilted the machine forward and this worked for a while, sometimes i have to unplug at the wall so there is no electricity flowing through the machine for an hour and it resets itself,. Its not adequate but it works.

Sounds like bearing and spider have gone, spider is the support on the drum which goes through the tub. then the wheel fits onto it. Open the door and see if you can lift the drum, if the drum lifts with a clunk or with ease then this will confirm the problem

Hello Loree Grudem - This can be the result of the shaft bearing and seal. They may have become worn and the transmission oil is creeping up to get in your water. Once this happens, it gets on your clothes to cause staining. Or possibly you have a buildup of fabric softener that comes loose and puts a greasy like substance in your water and on your clothing. Once you put your clothes in the dryer and the old fabric softener melts you will see these spots. I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.
