Neptune washers are the only front loaders that have a counter balance system and they do have water in them to do this. water sound is normal.
when you are having an odor, it is from using the wrong soap or too much of the right soap.
you need to be using "HE" type soap and dont use too much. what you are smelling is soap residues that are not getting rinsed out from the unit.
they do make a special cleaning tablet called "affresh" and it is designed to clean out these residues.
also your washer will have a " brush" type device around the front of outertub where the inner tub meet.
it is between the tubs and will collect debris and can look nasty when dirty.
clean all you can see and then try to run 1 cup bleach thru unit if you cant find affresh tablets. at lowes or sears.
then make sure you use HE type soap next time to prevent build up and odors.

Washer smells even after cleaning cycle

Hi,

It sounds like an air vent is either missing or clogged. That gurgling usually indicates some sy phoning action going on which is drawing water out of a gas trap. Hence you are getting sewer smell into the washer.

Thank you !!

The rubber gasket that lines the front of the inside opening has gotten dirty perhaps from dirty rags that should have been thrown away instead of washed. How do I clean it? Also, when I open the washer it...

It is pretty normal for a front load washer to devalope a mould like stain on thier bellow seal. Im not sure if the stain can be cleaned off but you could give it a go just scrubbing it but i would not advise using any harsh cleaners on it as they might deterioate the rubber. If you put a heavy cycle through on the hottest setting it should freshen up the unit and also leaving the door open when not in use will help prevent it going stale in there.

Hope this helps

Bosch Dishwasher SHX46A05UC/23 - No Water

Sounds like your recirculating pump is clogged If it is water can't get up enough pressure to turn the sprayers.
You'll need to start pulling parts out of the bottom inside to get to that pump. I don't work on a lot of Bosch, but that sure sounds like it to me. I see this a lot. Hope this helps...

Water in drum

The swish water sound that you hear in the drum is normal. There is some liquid in the drum for balancing. The washer doesnt use that liquid for laundry. The odor smell - you can get rid of it by cleaning your washer. Run empty cycle with bleach and hot water at least once a month. Also use washer cleaner - Tide recommended for a nice cleaner smell. You can get it from any supermarket.

Maytag washer sounds like a jackhammer when rinsing - this is a new thing with all loads. Yesterday it shut down mid cycle while still full of water and we smelled a burning rubber smell. Any ideas?

There is only one belt on the machine (the burning rubber smell, probably). Sounds like something is wrong with the clutch /drive mechanism. Unless your an accomplished DIY'er, it sounds like a job for the Maytag Man.

Winding sound, with a smell of burning

I recommend to stop the use of the dryer immediately and call an expert repairman to your home. The smell of burning can only mean bad things, so better safe than sorry.

Kenmore Elite front loader washer will not drain or spin out water error code F2.

Sounds like your pump is clogged. Take off the lower front panel via 3 ws on the bottom. Get a buch of towels, thiers gonna be water. Right in center front thier will be a white twist knob, about 3 inche in diamter. Unscrew it, this is when the water is gonna come out. If there is a secondary wall, pull it straight out with a pair of pliers. Clean out the pump, also check the little hole to the right leading into the impeller, make sure its clean. Finally put it back togther and try it out, thanks Dave www.washermd.com

Rotten Egg Smell

Repair man told me this is common with front load washers. I was told to put Sunlight dish washing detergent (for dishwashers not hands) in the machine (about 1/2 cup) and do a hot wash with the machine empty.

Mildew smell and water sound

OK Momma, Im going to give you their solution word for word in the bullitin. 1. Make a solution of 1 cup chlorine and 2 cups warm water and pour it into the dispensor slowly. 2. Wipe the lower section of the grey boot with a bleach solution and cloth. 3. Fill the bleach dispensor with clorine bleach. 4. Run the washer through a complete cycle using hot water. This is their solution. What they didn't suggest, but I do, is when the washer is in it's cleaning cycle, pause the washer for about 1 hour and go back to restart and let it finish. This way it should get rid of any odor. Good luck with this Momma...Catriver...post back.
