SOURCE: what do i do it says this on mine this is what mine has 1. IDE0 2. IDE1 3. USB FDD 4. USB HDD 5. Network Boot : Atheros Boot Agent 6. USB CDROM

Options 1 and 2 are internal hard drives. Option 3 is a USB flash drive, option 4 is a USB hard drive. Option 5 is a network boot protocol to boot from a local server. Option 6 is to boot from a USB CD drive.

If your computer does not boot in the current configuration, try selecting IDE1 instead of IDE0. One of those two drives has your operating system on it. If neither will boot, then you will need to install an operating system on one of them by inserting an install disc in a USB CD drive and selecting option 6.

Gateway kav60 wont boot to windows 7 after failed install of windows 8. I dont see the HDD info in Bios. Error code boot need recovery media?

If you insert your Win7 disc in the DVD drive and boot from there, you can reset the HDD information to make it readable. All your data will have been destroyed so it doesn't matter which method you use.

How do i reset gateway kav60

The way to restore Gateways is to hold down the ALT Key and repeatedly hitting f10 then it should bring you to a boot sequence screen then choose the HDD and then hold down ALT and repeatedly hit f10 again that should promt the restore feature for gateway. If that doesnt work the only way to do it is to boot into windows and run the eRecovery program.

Atheros boot agent

If the hard drive is not recognized then the PC will attempt to boot from the

next medium. The PC is attempting to network boot.

Check the Boot Options listed in the System Setup menu.

Try running the manufacturer diagnostics.

Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

Most likely you will need to replace the hard drive.

Pxe-e63 and pxe-m0f errors

enter to boot up in safe mode, then disable the atheros network drivers in my computers properties > hardware or drivers, then leave the originals that it came with should be the first two, ok, remove all others that say atheros, This error is of a group of driver programs being installed in computers through networking, yes hackers, I've fixed about 10 computers this month, but this software seems to log in to a network that can monitor your activity. Made by Atheros, & probably hacked to do this, cause Im sure the company did not modify this to log in to other private networks, if networks or drivers are disabled it will not even but up so best thing is to go into safe mode & disable these atheros drivers that dont belong in the computers in the first place. I had to re-install the bios in pcs because it modifies bios, registry files, and once t does that, its hell for the not so tech savy normal person.
