I can't talk and charge it at the same time. why is that? it's very annoying!!!!

  • Anonymous Mar 13, 2009

slide out keyboard buttons not responding...tired resetting the phone this didn't work...haven't tried a hard reset yet but from what I've been reading this seems to be an inherent issue with the phone.

  • Anonymous Mar 23, 2009

I'll open the phone, and I can type for maybe a minute, and

then it will become unresponsive, and I am forced to use

the touchpad keyboard, which I competely hate.

This phone is getting really annoying.

I am having the same issue. I have taken my phone back to sprint to get it serviced. Hopefully they will be able to fix it and give me a reason why this has happened again. This is the 2nd HTC pro that I had.

If purchased through a carrier, you'd need to return it to that carrier.  If purchased directly from HTC, go to the HTC website to seek manufacturer defect repair under warranty.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: My htc touch pro sluggish and the sliding keyboard stopped workin

OK - again _ I do not see your question

but I will tell share some of my knowledge with - Flashing a Smart Phone to MetroPCS is not a good idea - here is why

1. You can only Talk and Text with it - NO INTERENT - unless you or someone did somthing to the phone

2. Smart phones are like computers - and your HTC is - it has WinMobile - - - so your phone needs interent to get updates to work effeciantly.

3. I dont know if whoever Flashed your phone to Metro told you that when you flash your phone - you will lose any manufacturer warranty on your phone.

try a smaller memory card just in case that is the problem - because the memory limit dependents on the carrier.

my Advice to you would be to buy a MetroPCS phone, and enjoy everything they offer.

I hope this helps

I changed the screen recently on the htc touch pro t7272 and i notice the screen is only showing sideways and wont turn pright what could be the problem is it soft ware or hardware

Could be both, could be either. Let's hope it is a software issue.

One obvious solution is... well... change it back! Then do a power-cycle. (feel free to remove the battery for a few minutes before powering on)

If it went back to being "upright" when the keyboard is closed, then it is a software issue.

You also have other "sensory"-related apps to activate to better diagnose the failure. For instance:
  • you can activate Keyboard Sliding sounds
Start--> Settings--> Personal--> Keyboard Sliding

Choose a sound (any sound), test it (make sure the phone sounds off with it), then activate it.

Then open the keyboard and close it to activate the sounds. If it sounds off, then it's a software problem.

Software problems are easier to fix:
1) backup your hard-earned data (contacts, calls, sms, mms, etc.)
2) then do a factory/hard-reset
3) Once control is given to you, restore the hard-earned data.

Soft-reset the device. Then enjoy.

Slide out keyboard not working on HTC Touch Pro

Take the battery out of the TP and then press down very hard on the spacebar. This will reconnect the flex cable and will fix it for the time being. But in the end a replacement will be needed.

My slide-out keyboard on my HTC-pro doesn not work.

That happen to me with my 1st phone. Reset the phone from the little reset button and if that doesnt work then take it to your companys store and they should replace it for free because that means the phone is defected, as I call it.

Keyboard doesn't work

My keyboard went out twice already, I took it to my phone company and they traded it in both times at no cost to me. They just told me that has been happening alot with this phone. I would recommend just going to your service provider.
