Question about HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Out of paper, but really note

My printer won't print anymore. It says printer out of paper, but I have paper in it. I hear it wanting to be fed by the paper, but nothing is working. I restarted it, took paper out, put more in, checked the back, nothing works.

My HP deskjet 2050 all-in-one printer only shoots out blank paper and won't print. It used to say there was no paper in it, which there was. It scans & prints just fine - just won't print...

Any error messages on the printer digital screen or the desktop? I take it the "The ink is fine" means that there is ink in the cartridges!

Try a test print via the Control Panel> Printers and Faxes> properties > Print test page.

When I try to print, the printer sounds like it wants to print but the paper does not get fed into the machine it just makes a really weird sound.

hi.... First check the lifter *** lifting the tray, when the caridge block move towards the left it pushes the plastic lock of lifter assembly to lift the tray check them for working if it works then go to next step..
clean the feed roolers & replace the paper seprator of the printor satuated on the end of paper feed tray (brown colour).
Your problem will be resolved 100%.

Won't photocopy / warning light flashing /

The paper feed system is worn (rollers, and separation pad). What is happening, is extra sheets are being fed into the machine primarily because the separation unit is not doing it's job properly. So rather than just one page at a time being fed, it is allowing an extra sheet to "creep" in intermittently, causing the jam. And the indicator you are seeing is the "jam" indicator.

I can't seem to control which tray the paper is fed from.

My idea is that you have the wrong printer for the job. Yes. It will automatically take anything that is put into the upper feed section, because it is actually the same feed section- it uses the exact same feed rollers to feed from the bypass tray as the main tray, this is designed only as a convenience for the occasion you want to print different size paper you may want to run, or for re-feeding for duplex
