Jabra BT620s pairs to laptop but unable to switch sound output.
The headset pairs well enough (ie can see it in connected BT device window) but when I check the playback devices, I can't see it. It's visible under Device Manager and not disabled but just won't switch.
Re: Jabra BT620s pairs to laptop but unable to switch...
I had this same problem with my sony vaio (vista). But at first for me, after BT enabled the device, I couldnt find it in the device manager. I cycled on and off the headset a couple of times and once my vaio began to automatically connect the device, I was able to locate it in the device manager. Next, I went through the contol panel, hardware/sound, "manage audio devices". Here the bluetooth headset was located. After sucessfully testing the headset, I set it to default. Now whenever I fire up the headset, I have total mobile sound...awesome

This is one of the mistake commonly done by many people. First you need to pair. Let me walk you through. First, the headset has to be switched to pairing mode which is done by holding the on button for a while even after the headset is switched on. Then the bluetooth headset light will remain on. You switch on the phone bluetooth, search new device. Then select it and press the option for pairing. Read the instructions which come on the phone display and select accordingly. It will ask for passcode which is usually four zeros. Then it will get paired ask you whether to connect. You select connect and you are done.
You may need to change your output sound device. The method may vary depending on your software and hardware, but go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound (I think. Doing this from memory, so might be slightly off). There should be a Devices or Output tab. Change that to your bluetooth headset. You will probably need to restart WMP before you hear music, too.
• At your computer Right click on the Bluetooth icon on the task bar. • Select “Explore my Bluetooth places”. • Click on “View devices in range” to see all available devices. • Right click on the Jabra BT620s and select “Pair device”. • Enter the four digit passkey: 0000 (4 zeros). • Right click on the Jabra BT620s and select “connect”. • The connection will be established automatically, otherwise if the Jabra BT620s is ringing, press the answer/end button to confirm the connection.
If you hold down the button, it will turn the light blue, keep holding it till you can connect it. It will come up as Jabra BT125, hit connect. Then it will ask for a password. The password is 0000. Then it will connect :)

Press the answer/end button and press the volume up (+) button at the same time, until a solid blue light comes on. 2. Set your Bluetooth phone to ‘discover’ the Jabra BT130 Follow your phone’s instruction guide. This usually involves going to a ‘setup,’ ‘connect’ or ‘Bluetooth’ menu on your phone and selecting the option to ‘discover’ or ‘add’ a Bluetooth device. 3. Your phone will find the Jabra BT130 Your phone then asks if you want to pair with it. Accept by pressing ‘Yes’ or ‘OK’ on the phone and confirm with the passkey or PIN3 = 0000 (4 zeros).
